Summary of Being Human

Past/Present/Future

Part One

  1. Adam was naked (an imperfect yet sincere human) and not ashamed to be so.
  2. Adam was told he needed to be morally perfect to be acceptable as a son of God.
  3. Adam believed this lie and grasped at being more than human, thereby rejecting his humanity.
  4. Adam was now ashamed of being an imperfect human, although God was not.
  5. Adam covered his true self up and became someone else.  He became less than human in the process.
  6. Adam passed on this shame to his children. Dysfunction was seen immediately through murder in the family. Society became dysfunctional overall.
  7. This unhealthy shame has caused unconscious beliefs to taint our thoughts and actions.  This has been termed mysteriously, “human nature”.

Part Two

  1. Our Parent nevertheless continued to work with His children within their false perception of reality.  It was a self-imposed reality of self-value defined by moral perfection and performance.
  2. God called Abraham out of this false reality and this wrong belief system, into one of faith.
  3. God gave the descendants of Abraham through Isaac, the promise of a new life on earth when faith would be the foundation of life once again. Promises passed on through election (grace not works).
  4. God formed a nation for himself from this family and gave them the most perfect self-value by performance law possible, complete with a built-in forgiveness mechanism.
  5. Even this most perfect law could not turn a specially selected nation from its sins.  This old covenant proved that a system of justification through moral perfection could not lead to the righteousness of God.

Part Three

  1. The second Adam, Messiah Jesus, was told he needed to be something more than he was to be acceptable as a son of God.
  2. The second Adam did not believe this lie, and embraced his imperfect yet sincere humanity.
  3. The second Adam stayed aware of who he was and where he came from…did not hide as the first Adam did.
  4. Subsequently, the second Adam did not sin, but was the first fully alive human being in creation.
  5. He has provided the example that it is by the grace of God alone by which we can live life to the full as intended…as sons of God…complete human beings.
  6. The spirit of antichrist (saying that Jesus has not come as flesh...human) has been working to take away the power of healing and salvation found within the good news of the gospel, by making Jesus out to be a pre-existent God member.  That is why the trinity doctrine, though impossible to understand, has been so successfully taught in the church called by Christ's name.  It is also why the gospel of the future kingdom of God on earth has been almost extinguished during the past 2,000 years.

Part Four

  1. Jesus, the second Adam, was raised from dead, having qualified through this faith to sit at the right hand of his Father, until he returns to usher in the Kingdom of God on earth.
  2. All men will be given the opportunity to accept their humanity through faith and trust in their Father, as exemplified by Jesus.
  3. Those who do will live forever, beyond the millennium, and into the new heavens and new earth.
